As many of you know we live down in the Financial District of Manhattan. We are only a mere 5 blocks away from the World Trade Center Site. So through this past year and half we have watched the buildings grow daily. Even though we live so close there wasn't any way we could get even close to the site, so Ryan and I walked down there today and took a few pictures.
(In front of Grace Cathedral. All ribbons had special messages and names on them. The site where pictures were posted to find loved ones and the church where firemen slept when they were tired. Very touching.)
There is a month long waiting list to get into the main area which we'll get to see in October. It's an indescribable feeling living down here during this time, but I do know that I have NO idea what it was like in this area 10 years ago today.
