Brooklyn Waterfront Park

Today Ryan and I had a nice day walking around a part of Brooklyn that we can see from our roof but have never explored. We took the subway to Borough Hill, found a cute pub to have lunch and then walked towards the water where the park began. We are constantly impressed with New York's parks and in this area there was one impressive one after the next. There is a lot of renovation that is happening in the area and looks like they are going to make this whole half mile stretch along the water, one very cool area. They probably will be finished with it just about the time that we are leaving BUT there are some finished parts that are very impressive. We waited to take the water Taxi back but it never arrived so we just walked a few blocks to the subway. It was a fun exploration and we got to see views of our neighborhood the whole time.

"The Bridge Cafe", Restaurant we would love to go to on a special occasion.
Cute little ice cream shop
An area to sit and enJOY the view

Our hood is behind us.

Brrrr, it was very cold.

We're off to London on Wednesday. Happy Thanksgiving everyone we'll miss seeing our families on this special holiday!

Pete and Jaclyn Here!

Jaclyn and Pete couldn't of picked a better weekend to visit NYC for their first time. They were able to spend 5 short days here and were so fortunate to have amazing weather. They really made the most of their time here with seeing all the sites, going to a play and having great meals. We all shared a wonderful day together on Saturday starting in the Meat Packing District, walking the Highline and shopping in Chelsea Market. We then walked all around the West Village, NOHO, SOHO, Little Italy and Canal Street. All with little stops along the way to have (a not so good Mexican) lunch outside, drink some wine and cheese at a Chilean Wine Bar, drink more wine in Little Italy and end it all with a little bargaining on Canal Street.

We were so happy that they were able to come out here! Thanks for the fun weekend, we miss you guys!

MCDS Night in Manhattan

We had our first MCDS night in New York City. Cate, Meredith and I went to dinner close to where Laura was staying, upper east side. We had a yummy dinner and then went to the apartment that the Irvin's were staying at. LOVELY apartment with fun views that you could spy on neighbors. It was so wonderful seeing you girls and can't wait to see you again!
