Mom here

I got to have some special time with my mom while Ryan was out celebrating Bisio's bachelor party. She came for seven days which were packed full of going to museums, taking in the NY sights and enjoying the beautiful spring flowers. The museums we visited were Art and Design, Holocaust, Frick and American Folk Art. We also ventured up to the "Top of the Rock" and had some delicious meals. Once Ryan came home we went to the play "Other Desert Cities". Thanks mom for everything, it was so fun having you here one last time before we move :). xoxo

Spring Break 2012 . . .whooo!

Ryan and I just got back from a five day trip to see friends and family in the midwest. We started with flying to Chicago on St. Patrick's day where we saw true craziness and spirited people celebrating the Irish holiday. We got to visit with Scotty, Nicole and Ella at their new house and then had a fun dinner. After a yummy breakfast with the Francis's, the next morning we jumped in the car and drove three and half hours to Indianapolis to visit some of the Joy family. We loved our time with everyone and seeing Indianapolis in it's finest. The weather couldn't of been more perfect with beautiful spring trees blooming everywhere. It was such a treat to be with family and only wish it could of been longer. After two days we got back into the car and drove up to Notre Dame to visit Kathleen. We had lunch and she gave us tour of the beautiful campus. We then headed back to Chicago where we had the day to explore more before our flight took off that night.

Thank you Melanie, Tony, Barb, Wesley, Jessie, Tessa, Lyla, Jay, Rudico, Kathleen, Scotty, Nicole and Ella for making our spring break so fun and eventful. We LOVED our time with all of you!!!

Pictures are in backwards order, from the flight into NYC to St. Patty's day in Chicago.

Fog over the NYC skyline. The picture just doesn't capture how cool it looked.

Washington DC

Ryan and I took a quick 3 hour train trip to DC recently. Both of us hadn't been there for awhile so played tourist the best we knew how. The weather was perfect and the trees were starting to bloom, so we loved our time there. We were able to go to some fun dinners with Ryan's friend from Santa Clara, Matt Hill as well as visiting many of the museums. We feel in love with DC and were so glad we made the trip.
