Arthur Avenue

Last night Ryan and I checked another adventure off our list. We took the train up the Bronx's and walked down Arthur Avenue to have dinner of a recommended Italian restaurant, Dominick's. Arthur Avenue is the "Little Italy" of the Bronx. We were told about Dominick's by a friend that's Italian and said it was their families favorite. We looked it up before we went, thank goodness, because it's the type of restaurant where you don't get menu's and basically you dream up your whatever you want. Ryan and I spent most of our day trying to decide what we wanted. We got to Dominick's earlier than expected but it worked out in our favor, the place was packed. When we sat down, family style, all we could do was look around us to see what other people had ordered. The waiter ended up being great and we got a delicious antipasti salad, Ryan got chicken parm and I got shrimp pasta. Next to us there were these meatballs that looked amazing as well so we had to get those too. By the end of our meal we were stuffed and now have left overs to feed us for the next 3 nights. Fun adventure!

President's Day Weekend in the Hamptons

For President's Day weekend Ryan and I were invited out to West Hampton's to say at my coworker, Kate's family house. We had a great weekend of playing a fun wine tasting game, eating lots of delicious food, driving around and checking out the amazingly large homes, shopping in South Hampton's, walking on the beach (for about 10minutes because it was so cold) and just relaxing. I wish I took more pictures, but we had so much fun just getting out of the city for the weekend and enjoying the company of good friends.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holiday's. It's a time to just tell people close to you that you love them. After a fun day with kids Ryan and I decided to grab a nice bottle of wine, get some small filets and cooked a yummy dinner. It was a perfect and relaxing night.

Happy LOVE Day!

Roosevelt Island

Ryan and I had a fun day at Roosevelt Island today. I just really wanted to take the tram and see what Roosevelt Island had to offer. The tram ride was fun, neat views of the city but the actual island was a nice place to walk, but not much there. Afterwards Ryan and I had a drink and some clam chowder at The Oyster Bar. Two things checked off our list. Fun day.
