We were so excited to celebrate Lita and Chris at a hometown wedding. Even though it was a quick trip, we loved celebrating the beautiful the couple and seeing close friends!!
Ryan moved to NYC for his job December 2009. Heather finished up her school year and wanted to continue to plan their wedding so she moved June of 2010. They got married on April 3rd, 2010, had an amazing wedding but had to say goodbye for two more months. Now Heather finally moved to New York on June 18th, 2010 and they get to feel what it's actually like to be married. Enjoy our adventures in New York, we plan to take advantage of the East Coast and appreciate all it has to offer.

Chicago
Ryan and I decided to go on a quick trip (my first) to the windy city to visit our friends Scotty We had a wonderful time, we only wish is was sunny and above 40 degrees, other than the rain and the cold weather, being with good friends and seeing a beautiful city made for a very fun and memorable trip. Thank you Scotty and Nicole for everything!!

James Taylor at Carnegie Hall
Ryan got me tickets to James Taylor for our one year anniversary which we went to on Monday and we had a wonderful time. I wish I could of taken pictures but they wouldn't let me. I will say even James himself was loving playing there, he told stories of what he was doing when and where he wrote specific songs and was just having a blast on stage. It was the most sophisticated concert either of us had been to. :) I guess that's all I have to say . . . listening to an amazing musician play at one of the most historic music halls. What a treat!

Giants vs. Mets
For an anniversary present Cate hooked me up with some amazing seats to watch the Met's play the Giants. My first visit to Citi Field and Ryan's first Giant's game, we both were very excited. We got even more excited when we saw were our amazing seats were, right behind home plate. Great game, cushy seats, free food and good company made for a wonderful date at the baseball game. Ryan's permanent smirk made the night.
We could see Meredith and Andrew from our seats. Far right in the purple. At least we didn't get caught on TV kissing like they did :)

A few days later. We miss our good friends from home. (Brian, Ryan, Franklin, Bob and Phil)

Brooklyn Cherry Blossom Festival
I think I'm in love with spring here. The beautiful trees, the fragrant flowers and the happy mood of the New Yorkers has made it an enjoyable city to live in again. Ryan and I went to check out the Cherry Blossom Festival in Brooklyn recently. It was the Marina meets the Mission/Burning Man/Tokyo. Lovely trees, nice performances and then people dressed in crazy a** costumes. I'm sorry I didn't take any pictures of them. Overall it was a lovely Sunday activity.
