Mel, Rob, Addington and Bob Here

All in the same week Melanie, Rob, Bob and Addington were in town. It was amazing but left us exhausted after nine days of fun filled activities. With Melanie's expert knowledge of NYC restaurants we had delicious meals all over the city. From Eataly, to SOHO, Greenwich Village to Chelsea Market we had a blast enjoying and exploring it all. One day Mel, Rob, Ryan and I walked about 15 miles around the city and didn't even realize it until we were done. Fortunately the weather was great. Thanks friends for taking the time to see us, it just brings us that much closer to home.

Beautiful night with the Hudson behind us.
Mel and Rob are twins
Addington, Ryan, Franklin, Bob and Phil.

Happy Easter

Ryan and I had a nice Easter even though we missed home so much. It was a beautiful 70 degree day which definitely made us happy. We had a fun lunch in our hood, had a few drinks and then made our way up to the lower east side to watch the beloved Giants at the one and only Giants bar. Unfortunately the game it didn't come out how we would of liked it but we had a nice time visiting with friends and cheering with fellow Giant fans.

Hope everyone had a lovely Easter! Check out our cute Easter tree that my mom sent us.

Searching for Spring

Spring has finally arrived in the big city. It was a beautiful day yesterday and Ryan and I just walked around searching for signs of it. All of the daffodils are blooming and proud, half of the tulips have shown their beauty and a few trees are showing their colors. I'm going to drag Ryan out next weekend to the park because I think everything will be at their prime. Now, just bring on the "perfect" weather.

Happy One Year Anniversary to us

We can't believe it has already been one year since that glorious, non-rainy, day in Santa Rosa. To celebrate the day Ryan and I looked at pictures, watched the video our photographer made for us and talked about the day. We went to our favorite soup dumpling place in China Town for lunch and then had dinner at one of the most romantic restaurants in New York. On the cutest street in the West Village lies Aaron Burr's old carriage house which is the location of "One if by Land". We had an amazing three course meal, delicious wine and topped the night off with having some of our wedding cake that my mom ordered for us from our wedding bakery. What a fun and special day to spend together.
