Thanksgiving

Ryan and I had a fun, WARM and relaxing Thanksgiving. We started it off with visiting the balloons for the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade with my brother and Mindy, who were in town. It was crowded but we had fun seeing the balloons and being silly.

The next day Ryan and I flew to Sarasota, Florida where we visited Ryan's aunt Tere and Bill. We loved visiting Sarasota, it was such a beautiful place. Tere and Bill live in a beautiful condo overlooking the water. We felt spoiled with many fun dinners and wonderful company for many days.

Kate and Nick's Wedding

We were so excited to be able to experience our first local wedding. My kindergarten coworker, Kate, was getting married at West Hampton Beach. So we hopped in a car of another coworker and drove two hours to the Hamptons. Kate and Nick got married at this darling little church and then we celebrated at a beautiful country club that she has belonged to her whole life. Ryan and I had a blast celebrating with all of my St. Hilda's and St. Hugh's friends. Despite the fact that we had an awful B & B experience the wedding was amazing. Congratulations to Kate and Nick!!!!

Our first weekend home in a month!

Ryan and I had a great weekend the second weekend of October. It was the first time we had been in NY for a weekend in about 5 weeks. It was a warm beautiful couple days that was filled with going to a mini food festival down by our where we live. All the restaurants from around the neighborhood had stations with delicious food for us to enjoy. We also found a darling small restaurant in the West Village on Sunday where we were able to sit outside and have a yummy "french" style meal. Because I like to eat early we were able to get a prime spot but when we were leaving there was a two hour wait. Points for me for liking the early bird special.

Todd and Devyn's Wedding

Our last weekend flight home in September was to celebrate Devyn and Todd who got married in Portola Valley. Todd and Ryan went to Santa Clara together, so it was fun for Ryan to visit with many old friends. Ryan and I flew in Saturday, enjoyed the festivities and then were back on a plane Sunday. I will say that was too much to fly in 24 hours but it was worth it. Devyn and Todd got married under the redwood trees on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Congratulations Devyn and Todd, we are so happy for the two of you!!!!

Galen and Dagan's Wedding Celebration

Ryan and I had a fun (quick) trip home to celebrate Galen and Dagan getting married. The beautiful couple got married in the beginning of August in the San Juan Islands. It was a lovely celebration within the redwoods. One of the most delicious BBQ's I've ever had and lifelong friends (and their children) were in abundence. Such a special evening with the girls, their husbands and children. Ones that I've known since kindergarten. Such a beautiful celebration! Congratulations Galen and Dagan, we love you and are so happy for you!!!

Birthday on the Roof

Ryan and I threw our first party on our roof deck this past weekend. We decided to have a some people to help celebrate my birthday, along with saying goodbye to the summer. It was our first chilly evening but still many friends came to celebrate. The view was beautiful and everyone seemed to have fun, maybe a few had a little too much fun :). All in all we had about 20 friends here, which was way more people then we thought we knew in this city.
