Because I am treating this more like a diary, I did want to share my excitement for our new knives. I picked them up at Crate and Barrel today after using 9 different gift cards to purchase them. I can't wait to have good knives especially since I've had Ikea ones for the past 10 years (except when I'm home with the fam, of course). The other very exciting wedding gift that I love using are our pots and pans. It is so nice to have good ones, I didn't even realize how easy cleaning can be. Our kitchen is definitely coming together and most things are fitting quite nicely. Gosh, I could go on and on about all the cool wedding gifts we've received. I feel very lucky!
Ryan moved to NYC for his job December 2009. Heather finished up her school year and wanted to continue to plan their wedding so she moved June of 2010. They got married on April 3rd, 2010, had an amazing wedding but had to say goodbye for two more months. Now Heather finally moved to New York on June 18th, 2010 and they get to feel what it's actually like to be married. Enjoy our adventures in New York, we plan to take advantage of the East Coast and appreciate all it has to offer.

Our first full week living together in NYC
This has been a very fun filled week. I arrived very late on Friday the 18th, where Ryan was waiting with a very clean apartment (cleaned professionally, I loved it) and beautiful flowers on the table. We had a great weekend with going to a nice dinner at Artisanal Fromagerie on Park Avenue on Saturday. Sunday we just walked around the city and randomly found the Met's/Yankee game playing in a park so we sat and watched that for a bit. It was a perfect weekend.
We've been having dinner on our little deck every night. The warm nights are so fun. The days have been pretty bearable but we have a feeling it's going to start to get pretty bad. While Ryan has been working I've been spending my days getting to know our neighborhood and going to Bed Bath and Beyond. By the end of the week my closet was all organized and so was most of the apartment. Wednesday night we went to hear some Jazz in Central Park. We brought a picnic and just listened to the music. It was so fun sitting outside with all the other New Yorkers. They definitely like to take advantage of their city which I love.
This past weekend was pack with going to a birthday in Brooklyn for Franklin, having bunch at some new friends house (who we met through Dunne) and watching the USA soccer game with Ahern and Devan (who were in town) and some other new friends. We're starting to meet new people which has been fun. We've been picking their brains with fun things to do and places to eat in the city. We have a very long list so far.
I'll post some pictures of the apartment. The next chapter will be about our Fourth of July at the Jersey Shore.
